The Von Bondies follows in the down and dirty tradition of other Detroit ledgends such as the Stooges, MC5 and the White Stripes (whose guitarist-singer Jack White famously came to blows with Von Bondies frontman Jerry Stollheimer). Like their fellow Motor City rockers, raspy vocals and punk power chords are married to deceptively catchy tunes. The Von Bondies disbanded in 2011. This iConcert keeps the flame burning in this scorching live set at South by Southwest. Held every March in Austin, Texas, the South by Southwest Music Festival & Conference (SXSW) is the nation’s largest gathering for fans and professionals in search of musical magic.
