The Oxegen Festival at Punchestown Racecourse in County Kildare, Ireland was founded in 2004. Since then it has become one of Europe's most significant summer events for alternative music. It attracts acts ranging from R.E.M. to Eminem. In addition to its stellar musical lineups and party atmosphere, Oxegen also prides itself on being Europe's (and the world's) greenest mega event. Although it boasts up to 60,000 visitors daily, the festival is 100% carbon neutral.
