Hair World

In 2002, the biannual hairdresser's world championship “Hair World” was held in Las Vegas.

It was a perfect opportunity for filmmakers Marjori Madura and Cynthia Adra to follow the American team and find out what the top achievers in hair sculpture think about their profession. As one member of the team puts it: “hair is my life”. There's also some talk of the “United Nations of Hair” ... but mainly the contingency wants everyone to know that their work isn't about the every day haircut. The creations they whip up are art, they say, even if models look like they're wearing wedding cakes on their heads.
