Every year for a week the festival presents the full spectrum of cinematic output from the Berlin-Brandenburg film world. Awards are presented for best feature, documentary and medium-length film.
From poignant social dramas to feel-good movies, from docudramas to classic documentaries, this innovative festival brings current German films to the big screen. Along with festival screenings in selected Berlin cinemas, films from past editions and current festival highlights are now available at realeyz.tv. The festival debuts full length features, medium-length films and shorts by established directors and emerging Berlin talents. Berlin is Germany's cinema city number one. Every year over 300 feature and documentary films are produced in the region. This young festival already ranks as Berlin's third largest festival and it is the largest of its type in the world.
