Private Century: A Low Level Flight
Káťa had always been captivated by Franta. Not only was he handsome and charismatic, he was ambitious. She loved him and tolerated his career as a fighter pilot in the Czechoslovak army and even packed up home and family to keep him company while training in the USSR. However, Franta’s fondness for alcohol, hit jealous tantrums and skirt-chasing cause ruin the marriage and Franta’s fighter pilot career is cut short by a tragic death.
Jan Šikl's fascinating documentary includes aerial landscape footage shot secretly from a MIG fighter jet, as well as footage of drunken Soviet soldiers cavorting with Russian girls shot in a USSR training camp.
