SUMMERDOCS 2010 IS NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS!
The Course
Have you always wanted to make your own documentary but never had the chance, or the confidence to do it alone? The NFTS - the world’s most prestigious training ground for documentary filmmaking - joins forces with DocHouse - a groundbreaking initiative to promote independent documentary in the UK - to offer a summer school where the expertise of experienced mentors will help you begin to become the documentary maker you want to be. During the Introduction your proposed projects will be evaluated and plans made.
Course Timetable
Introduction: Week commencing 5 July 2010, dates to be confirmed
Independent research period: 12 - 23 July 2010, can be done in own time, away from NFTS
Main course: Monday 26 July - Friday 10 September 2010
Final screenings: Friday 10 September in the NFTS Cinema, followed by an informal reception.
NB: It is important that you have already had some experience of camera and digital editing before applying to the course.
Number of Places: 6
Length: 10 weeks (which includes an introductory induction course and a fortnight of independent research)
