No Wave cinema pioneer Amos Poe (NIGHT LUNCH, THE FOREIGNER, EMPIRE II) has got a new project in the pipeline - La Commedia. It sees the director further exploring the fine arts/experimental territory of his Warhol homage Empire II. La Commedia fuses a freeform adaptation of Dante’s Divine Comedy to elements of cinéma vérité and the photography of cinematographic forerunner Eadweard Muybridge. The film is a meditation on the nature of cinematographic motion and movement in one’s personal life. (more…)

Berlin is one of the main international hubs of club culture. During the 1990’s clubbing was restyled into an artform.  Since then video performance is a standard feature of night life. Artists combine light shows with video art and vjing. “Screendancing” is an exhibition that for the first time celebrates the milestones of this underground art form.

Daimler - Star of Apartheid

Daimler supported Apartheid in South Africa (although as seen in the film ENDGAME, other companies acted differently). The victims are now seeking justice. Sign our petition! We are demanding that Daimler acknowledge their past and pay fair compensation to the victims of Apartheid!

The Soccer World Cup in being held this year in South Africa. But the German team aren’t playing under a lucky star. The problem is not the Germany Football Association, but its main sponsor: Mercedes-Benz. Daimler’s star logo brings back bad memories for South Africans who risked their lives in the fight against racism and Apartheid. (more…)
