Argentina: Remembering with Film | Victoria | 24.3., ACUD Kino, Berlin

FDCL

The 24th of March is the anniversary of the 1976 military putsch in Argentina. This is not a reason to celebrate but it does represent a chance to look back, and remember. Call for Entries - Deadline July 31, 2010

Producing movies by gathering ideas and donations from internet users- that’s the idea behind Bitfilm-Festival 2010. It works like this: filmmakers from around the world work together to make a movie, and internet users vote to decide which elements appear in the final film. The result of this “crowd production” will be a full length feature film dealing with the theme “Money & Me” in a host of different ways.

“Everybody has an interesting story to tell about money”, claims Bitfilm‘s director Aaron Koenig. “We are looking forward to portraits of millionaires and investment gurus, as well as fictional rags-to-riches stories and animations which explain the complexities of the financial market in an entertaining way.” (more…)
